Coach B is the perfect balance of toughness and love. She was my strength coach at Auburn University for three and a half years, coming in during the middle of my freshman year—and I have never been the same since. She encouraged, strengthened, pushed, developed, and mentored me. She took me as a “Bambi” and helped transform me into a high-level SEC starting setter on the volleyball team. Whenever I had questions, she always had answers—but more importantly, she was honest. She gave me the truth I needed, not just what I wanted to hear. Coach B prepared me physically to withstand the demands of a five-set volleyball match—sometimes even multiple matches in one day. But what she did for me went far beyond the physical. She strengthened me mentally. Our constant conversations about growth and resilience helped me navigate the challenges of college athletics and become stronger in every aspect of my life. Coach B is a true leader and captain. I always loved going to war for her in the weight room—and I knew without a doubt that she would go to war for me too. I am forever grateful for the woman Coach B helped form me to be. Proverbs 17:27 says "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
